"I have done the Mystery KAL for the last 5-6 years. I always look forward to the next one. Most of them were patterns that I would never have attempted. I have learned so many new techniques, most importantly how to read my knitting, which has given me much more confidence.” - a mystery lover

Our annual Mystery Knitalong (MKAL) is possibly our most popular event of the year. Last summer, almost 200 people across the country participated in our adventure. The hardest part of the Mystery KAL has always been choosing yarn since you don’t know what you are making. To make it easier, we are offering kits.

2024 Mystery KAL Kit Includes:

  • All of the worsted-weight yarn you'll need for the project
  • Four emails sent weekly in June, including clues and tutorials for the mystery project
  • Mystery pattern
  • A custom goodie

We have three color options:

  1. Cheerful
  2. Earthy
  3. Moody

Need needles? You'll need a 24" US2 circular, a 32" US6 circular, and a US8 (any circular or straight) needle for this project - choose your preference: 'WITH needles' or 'NO needles'

Knitalong Starts on June 9 The first clue will be sent out on Sunday, June 9, via email. The clues include pictures and tutorials as needed, but if you need additional help, you can join our MKAL Zoom sessions on Monday, June 10, 17, and 24, 7-8pm

Note: This kit INCLUDES your clues - do not buy those separately.

We help women in Uruguay find meaningful work without leaving their rural homes. We help a family in New Hampshire maintain a mill, a tradition spanning hundreds of years. We help restore the Patagonia Grasslands by encouraging sustainable farming.Every yarn we stock makes a positive impact.
