Vogue Knitting Early Fall 2010

I love this yarn.  I’ve made fingerless mitts, a hat and a sweater out of it, which is saying a lot since I try to spread my knitting time across all the yarns in the store.  Terra combines  alpaca, wool and silk to create a nubby worsted weight yarn.  Each fiber takes the dye differently to create a tone on tone effect, some colors are almost iridescent.  It would be perfect for Metro, which I’ve had my eyes on for a while now.

Terra seems to be appearing in all the best magazines lately with great sweater patterns, but maybe you need to start slow.  Perhaps a 4 skein project with a free pattern to get you hooked.  Try this.
