Who says it isn’t knitting season?
We hope you’ll join us for these fun activities

Christmas in July  Wednesday, July 11  7 – 9 pm
‘Tis the season to start making gifts.  To inspire you, we’re having a party.  We’ll have Christmas cookies, holiday music and our top twenty gift ideas on display.  Start now, it feels so good to be one step ahead of the season.  Don’t celebrate Christmas?  Please stop by anyway.  I mean who doesn’t love a Christmas cookie?

Jazz in Glen Ellyn Saturday July 14 3pm – 10pm
Every year, as if by magic, Main Street is turned into a park with beautiful music.  Bring a chair and a knitting project and listen to live Jazz from 3pm – 10pm.  Stop in String Theory when you need to get up and move a little; we’ll be open until 9.

Stash Sale  Thursday July 26 – Saturday July 28
During Glen Ellyn’s Sidewalk Sale, String Theory will sell your stash (yarn, books, needles, etc.) for store credit. Package similar balls of  yarn in Ziploc bags and price as you would for a garage sale.  Bring your stash in by Tuesday July 24.  What doesn’t sell will go to local charities.

Chicagoland Yarn Crawl  Saturday August 4 – Saturday August 11
Over 28 stores are participating, including String Theory.  Free patterns, discounts and drawings at every store.  Details at chicagoyarncrawl.com or check the Chicago Yarn Crawl on Facebook.

Summer Vacation

String Theory will be closed for a little while so we can knit and nap and dream up great things for you for fall.

    Janet,

Congratulations on making the Ravelry Hot Right Now list! I love seeing your name come up on Ravelry. It makes me feel closer to home. I have found a couple of good yarn shops in western Pennsylvania, but there is no place like String Theory. I wish I could be there for Christmas in July, the Stash Sale and the Yarn Crawl.
